CELEBRATING AN ANNIVERSARY
Morning
Cafe Heidelberg has been a favorite breakfast spot for Laguna Beach locals for over 20 years! We suggest ordering a few different menu options to share, plus one (or two) of their mouth-watering pastries. Next, head to the Spa at the Montage for their signature “Couple’s Massage Escape”. Then spend the rest of your morning getting lost in their 20,000 square foot spa, which hosts Eucalyptus steam rooms, whirlpools, saunas, fireplace lounges, and more. Does it get any more romantic than that?
Afternoon
Across the street from Montage Laguna Beach is La Sirena Grill, one of our favorite contemporary-Mexican restaurants. It’s quick and casual and has the best chips and guacamole in town! After lunch, drive up to Laguna Canyon Winery, where you can taste some of their award-winning wines. Is beer more your style? Just down the road is Laguna Beach Beer Company, where you can sample some of their locally made specialty ales. Ruby Beach, Pageant of the Brewmaster, and Top of the World are three of our favorites – but you just might want to sample them all with a tasting flight. Then make your way down to Fisherman’s Cove for an afternoon kayak session with La Vida Laguna. Whether you kayak tandem or separately, there’s nothing more peaceful and invigorating than gliding together along the Laguna Beach coastline! Or, if you’re down to get wet, go to Laguna Sea Sports and rent snorkel gear! Treasure Island Beach, Shaw’s Cove, and Fisherman’s Cove are three of the best spots to snorkel – and no matter the season, you’re sure to see wildlife. Keep an eye out for Garibaldi!
Evening
When the sun is beginning to set, there are so many romantic spots in Laguna Beach. Our two favorites are Ruby Street Park and Crescent Bay Point Park. Ruby Street Park is magical – tucked between two houses with a meandering trail that leads to an overlook that has one bench. If you’re lucky, you’ll have it all to yourselves. Crescent Bay Point Park is a lesser known overlook that has more space, and incredible views. While both of these offer prime views, romantic ambiance, and little crowds, a stroll on the beach at sunset is often just as special. You can’t go wrong chasing sunsets in Laguna Beach. After dinner, take a stroll down Main Beach and window shop along the Pacific Coast Highway. End the evening with a nightcap and some live music at The Marine Room Tavern on Ocean Avenue. You can find their full live music schedule here.
Stay
Hotel Joaquin is intimate and romantic, and a perfect beachside getaway for just the two of you. It’s the newest “petite resort” in Laguna Beach, and every inch of this 22 room property is modern and luxurious. It just might become your new anniversary tradition!
