Tips to Hack Laguna Beach Parking
We are seven miles of beautiful coastline that boomed from a dirt, one-road town to a cutting-edge art and outdoor enclave. That means that during our summer peak season PCH can feel like a nightmare while sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. In this blog we are going to share tips and tricks to hack Laguna Beach parking to avoid traffic and parking nightmares, ensuring you have an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
1. Find every open parking spot in town, in real-time
That’s right, you can see every available parking spot in Laguna Beach, live, at ANY time. Download the Laguna Beach Mobile Parking App and you’ll be able to track every parking spot and see whether it is occupied or available. You can also pay your parking meter, add time and track how close you are to reaching your full time limit in any one spot or parking lot.
Tip: Instead of circling around looking for metered street parking, head to ACT V parking lot at 1900 Laguna Canyon Road, just a 5-minute trolley ride to the downtown village. ACT V is a deal at just $5 to park all day long (Monday – Friday) and $10 (Saturday and Sunday).
2. Breeze into town on the FREE Summer Breeze
Completely avoid the anxiety of trying to find parking in the city limits and park at our remote lot, The Summer Breeze. Located at 16355 Laguna Canyon Road, this parking lot is FREE, and has a FREE trolley that whizzes you into Laguna Beach to start your next adventure.
The Summer Breeze Runs June 28th – September 2nd (Labor Day):
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Frequency: Every 30 minutes
Tip: Leave your beach chairs and body boards at home and rent them in town. Toes on the Nose and Main Beach Toys, both in the downtown area rent chairs, sand toys, and body boards by the hour.
3. Explore the full seven miles of Laguna Beach on the FREE Trolley
Once you park, stay parked! The City of Laguna Beach offers FREE trolleys that travel through the canyon (with access to all of the art festivals) and to North and South Laguna. You can beach hop from beach to beach to see a few (or a bunch) of our 30 beaches and coves. Or, use the trolley to explore each district in town; Gallery Row to the North, the downtown village, the HIP District, and south Laguna restaurants and boutiques. Make it easy to maximize your time in our coastal paradise and download The Trolley Tracker App to view the live trolley tracker to know when and where the trolley arrives.
Tip: Not sure what stop you’re closest to? Look for the trolley signs. Each one has a stop number to let you know what stop you are at. Didn’t download the app ahead of time? There is a QR code on each trolley sign to download the app.
