About the Pledge 

Our priority at Visit Laguna Beach is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our community, its residents and visitors. Stand in solidarity with us as we reopen our community to ensure visitors are not only visiting a safe place, but also visiting safely. We need to work together to ensure the continued safety of our residents and the community. 

Developed in collaboration with the City of Laguna Beach and the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce, we know that in order to support the revival of our local economy, we need to join together to provide long-term sustainability for our city. 

All businesses in Laguna Beach are invited to sign the CLEAN.SAFE.READY. pledge as a demonstration of their business’ commitment to the health and well-being of our community of both residents and visitors. 

Join us in promoting this citywide initiative to keep our visitors, residents and employees safe.

CLEAN. SAFE. READY. PLEDGE

On behalf of myself, my business/organization, and my employees, and in the interest of protecting the safety and well-being of all Laguna Beach visitors and residents, I pledge to:

1. Prioritize employee, resident, and visitor health and safety.
2. Conduct a health and safety assessment and create policies and protocols specific to my business; then implement and enforce them in an effort to safeguard visitors, as well as my employees, myself, and the community at-large.
3. Follow, meet, and exceed – where possible or appropriate – the guidelines issued by the City of Laguna Beach, County of Orange, the State of California, and/or federal government.
4. Adopt industry best practices, such as those recommended by the CDC, American Hotel & Lodging Association, California Hotel & Lodging Association, the National Restaurant Association, the Food & Drug Administration, and others.
5. Implement and enforce social and physical distancing policies, minimize person-to-person contact, and increase transparency throughout the visitor’s stay.
6. Require and/or encourage the use of face coverings by staff and customers.
7. Encourage customer hand sanitizing and hand washing, as available, and provide visitors with the safe, healthy, and sanitary experience they expect and deserve.
8. Enhance employee protocols including regular education, and access to proper safety tools, such as personal protective equipment and hand sanitizer.

By signing the CLEAN.SAFE.READY. pledge, I pledge to uphold these standards, which demonstrates my business’ commitment to placing a priority on the health, safety, and well-being of my employees, customers, visitors, and residents.
